FAQs

How many days before an event should I have the spray tan done?

1-2 days beforehand is best. However, for your wedding, 2 days before is most ideal.

Should I do a trial?

For your wedding or a special event, it is recommended to do so. This way we know the exact shade and time to leave the tan on so your colour is perfect.

How long will the spray tan last?

Roughly 7-10 days. If you maintain your tan and follow the prep and aftercare, you will find your tan can last even longer.

Can I tan when I’m pregnant?

DHA is a non-toxic chemical that does not enter the bloodstream or penetrate your skin. Therefore it appears safe to have a spray tan. As a precaution, we recommend getting advice from your doctor if you’re in the first trimester.

We also have an extraction machine in the tent which means, you are breathing in air, and not tan. So this definitely is a bonus to making you feel more safe when tanning whilst pregnant.

Do you just offer one shade?

We offer different colour bases for every skin type. The perfect one will be decided for you at your appointment.

How long does the tan need to stay on before my first rinse?

30-45min for a natural tan

1-2hrs for a medium tan

2hrs + for a darker tan

What should I wear to my appointment?

Ensure your clothing is dark, cotton, loose and oversized. Wearing tight clothing or anything with straps will risk your tan rubbing off.

PREP

Waxing should be done 24-48hrs before your appointment. Any oil and residue must be off your skin.

Shaving should be done 24hrs before your appointment. Pores need to close to avoid having dotty skin.

Mani and Pedis to be done 24hrs before your appointment.

Leading up to your tan and especially the week of, exfoliate your skin well. Avoid doing so within 24hrs of your appointment.

PH body wash is best for the perfect tan results. Do not use products with oil and avoid Dove body wash.

AFTER CARE

After your first rinse you’ll have no colour. The bronzer washes off and develops over 24hrs.

Moisturiser should only be applied after 24hrs. Prior to this the DHA is developing and skin must be product free.

Avoid long hot showers. Short showers are best.

Pat dry after every shower. This will lengthen the life of your tan. Rubbing will cause the tan to patch.

Avoid exercising within the first 24hrs so your tan doesn’t patch.

Sulfate and paraben free body washes are best. Using products like Cetaphil and QV will ensure your tan lasts longer. Avoid Dove, Nivea and like products.
